Southfields

An unloved and ignored back land plot in the Hertfordshire countryside is the site of our residential new build project. DPE architecture were approached by the client to design a small, new build, detached, 2-bedroom house on a challenging site. The house is designed to utilize natural materials that settle into their countryside setting such as the charred timber that clads the building’s exterior and the sedum roof. DPE Architecture were asked to devise a scheme that respected the local countryside surroundings and preserved existing views. We were appointed to provide full design services; the project is currently in planning stage.
